no ritual required
matcha, made simple
Everything you need is already in the kit. Here's the whole process, start to finish.
1
Scoop
Scoop one level scoop, about a gram, of ceremonial-grade matcha into your bowl.
2
Sift
Run it through the included sifter so it goes in smooth, no clumps to fight with a spoon.
3
Whisk
Add a splash of hot, not boiling, water and whisk in a quick back-and-forth motion until frothy.
4
Sip
Pour, sip, repeat tomorrow. That's the whole ritual, no ceremony required.
where it comes from
grown with intention
Our matcha is stone-ground from first-harvest leaves, the same standard used for true ceremonial-grade matcha rather than the lower-grade culinary leaves found in most grocery-store tins. Shade-grown and hand-picked before being ground into the fine, vivid powder that separates real matcha from the bitter stuff.

what to actually expect
taste, energy, focus
Taste
Naturally sweet and grassy, with almost none of the bitterness people associate with bad matcha. That bitterness is usually a sign of low-grade leaves, not matcha itself.
Steady energy
Matcha's caffeine tends to release more gradually than coffee, so most people notice a steadier lift without the crash a few hours later.
Calm focus
Matcha naturally contains L-theanine, commonly associated with a calmer, more even kind of alertness rather than a jittery spike.

The steps guide is what got me started. I'd tried matcha before and always made it wrong.

Didn't expect the taste to be this smooth. No bitterness at all, even on the first try.

questions, answered
faq
Do I need any special equipment?
No. The starter kit includes everything you need: the scoop, sifter, and whisk. Just add hot water.
Is matcha the same as green tea?
Not quite. Green tea is steeped and the leaves are discarded. Matcha is the whole leaf, stone-ground into powder, so you're drinking the entire leaf rather than just water that passed through it.
How much caffeine does it have?
Roughly comparable to a cup of coffee, though most people find the energy feels steadier and more even rather than a sharp spike.
How should I store it?
Keep it sealed and in the fridge, away from light and moisture. Matcha is sensitive to air and heat, so resealing tightly after each use keeps it fresher for longer.
